Travel Essentials – Things You Must Not Forget To Pack!
Whether you are a persistent or an occasional traveler, we all go through the same headache when it comes to getting ourselves prepared for a particular destination. So it’s always helpful to have an overview of what items you may need or want to pack in order to have a travel checklist.
Without further ado, here’s my list of travel essentials..
1. Keep important travel documents, credit cards and cash
It’s important to keep multiple copies of all your documents; keep one set in your carry-on bag and one set in your other bag. In this way you’ll not face difficulty if you lose one bag. In the same way you can divide and keep your cash in both bags.
2. Prepare your personal carry-on bag
The next thing you definitely want to do is to prepare your carry-bag in which you can keep anything you want to. It’s an excellent idea to make sure that you keep an outfit (or two) and a few essential toiletries in your carry-on bag just in case if your luggage is lost.
If you’ll be traveling around to different destinations, then make sure that this bag has things to keep you cozy on any train or bus rides. It’s always comfortable to have a bag that’s easy to access so you don’t need to go for your main bag every time you need your earphones or something else. But remember, you’ll be carrying all these things, so keep it light. Here are some travel essentials that you can include:
. Mobile phones and it’s chargers
. iPad or tablet
. Head phones
. Camera/video recorder, charger & memory card
Travel comforts & entertainment
. Books and magazines
. Travel pillow and blanket
. Travel guides and maps. (It will help you to reach your desired place without any difficulty)
. First aid box (self medication)
. Hand sanitizers or wet wipes
3. Prepare your main bag
You’ll want to pack many clothing options if your trip will take you to different places but having options doesn’t mean that you’ll need to over-pack. Include clothes that could be worn on your adventures and then can be dressed up slightly with a different scarf and a pair of shoes.
Here are the best travel essentials that you will definitely don’t want to forget:
. Lightweight clothing that could be layered
. Socks and comfortable shoes
. Jackets and sweaters ( if you’re going in winter season)
. A swimsuit (if you’ll be going to beach/resort)
4. Pack your toiletries
Toiletries can take up a lot of room in your bag so you better decide on what you can’t live without. You’ll definitely need the following things:
. Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash
. Shampoo and conditioner
. Hair comb & brushes, hair ties/bands, bobby pins
. Face wash, sunscreen, lotion
. Personal hygiene items
. Cologne /Perfumes
. Hair products
. Shaving kit, scissors, nail clippers and tweezers
5. Prepare your home
. Stop newspaper delivery
. Pre-pay bills
. Unplug appliances
. Turn off heater/air conditioner
. Store valuables in a safe place
. Lock all doors and windows
. Leave house key with a trusted friend or neighbor
We now hope that you’re fully prepared and equipped with all the travel essentials that will be required for your planned trip. So just pack your bags and move.
